Minimalistic Architecture in Above Ground Level Residence

When designing Villa Kogelhof was beginning autarky ambitious premise. The villa had to be completely neutral energy, including energy generation through its own windmill. At the same time, there was also the desire to combine simplicity and abstraction with a dramatic appearance. The result is a composite, constructed of two at right angles to each other stacked volumes: one mainly underground, the other floating above the ground level, a compromise glass box which is supported by a steel V-frame.
